The Crystal Heart Print

This work is the second of a series depicting scenes from Vietnamese folk tales. In Vietnamese, this tale is called "Trương Chi và Mị Nương." It's about a princess who falls in love with a fisherman when she hears him singing but later rejects him when they meet face to face for the first time. This piece shows illustrated the first moment that she falls in love, ensconced in her palace.
